SENIOR PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER THE BRADFORD EXCHANGE (2004 to 2005) • Concept Development: Identify and evaluate current market trends based on business objectives.- Organize multiple projects, notes of meetings, and brainstorm new products themes. Develop ways to differentiate product concepts to make them market firsts.- Within my own budget, I work with freelance talent to create designs and present new concepts to senior level VP for approval. • Product Development: Identify, select, and source Asian Manufacturers best suited for each product line. Negotiate with those manufacturers, gave product specifications, negotiated FOB prices, and delivery dates. Reviewed quality of each product line developed, including all stages of sculpting, decoration and assembly. Worked with major Licensers such as Disney, Precious Moments, Thomas Kinkade, Elvis/Graceland, Fox/Simpsons, Warner Brothers, Coca Cola, and many others. • Promotional Strategies: Present new products to marketing and advertising to develop market strategies based on target markets and ad placement. Approve all advertising brochures and single page ad layouts. In addition to reviewing photography, retouching, and direction of copy based on target customer. Accomplishments • Contributed to increased sales of 8% over projections for 2005 over 2004, with new product forms and templates now adopted company wide. • Improved sculpting based on my art knowledge of anatomy for both human and animal product forms. SENIOR DESIGNER/CREATIVE DIRECTOR CREATIVEWERKS (formerly RTC) (2002-2003) • Concept Development: Create new designs for all product forms: tube toppers, toy premiums, candy dispensers, and new candy products. Develop new market firsts with a predetermined budget and within tight deadline constraints. • Product Development: Work with Asian manufacturers, negotiate pricing, delivery dates, •Did sketches, industrial designing including 3 view drawings, exploded views and selection of materials to be used such as ABS, polystyrene, blow molded plastic, among others. Determine other functions such as sound chips, light up mechanisms, and any other client requests. • Promotional Strategies: Present new product concepts to clients based on target customer base. Work with sales VP's to develop strategy and set long term goals for product lines. Worked to develop new clients as well. Monitored quality control of in house production also. Accomplishments. • Increased sales dramatically over previous year with a reducing art staff after I started there. • Added to resource base and increased production by reducing lead times and increased work load which required a large quantity of personal over time due to the reduced art staff. • Won the confidence and praise of major clients such as: M&M Mars, Nestle, Hershey's, Kraft, Dannon, Post Cereal, Planters, Energizer, and Keebler. Was able to secure new clients as well. SENIOR ART DIRECTOR SIMON MARKETING (1993-2002) • Concept Development: Created concepts for our main client: McDonald's. I worked on both adult promotional program materials such as packaging, games, sweepstakes, and Happy Meal toy concepts for the youth division of the agency for nearly four years. I was the only art director utilized for both of those divisions of the agency based on my overall experience in the advertising business. In addition, my talents were utilized to assist managers in New business acquisition of clients such as: Chevron, Blockbuster Video, Old Navy, and several others. •Product Development: Presented new product concepts to clients. Utilized video conference calls with overseas vendors to develop toy concepts. Traveled to overseas Toy Fairs as well as New York Toy Fairs on a yearly basis to aid in research on new innovations in the industry. Coordinated multiple vendors, freelance digital art talents, and copywriters. Accomplishments • As a direct result of the art staff that I brought into the company, my supervisor was able to dramatically increase productivity with award winning programs. He was double promoted in a short time from creative director to senior VP of the entire Creative group. • The agency's sales increased from 400 million to over 600 million dollars in a few years. • Agency got national recognition on the cover of Promo magazine for their Batman glassware promotion which I designed. The article detailed how this was one of McDonald's most successful programs in it's entire history. Mobius awards were also won based on my concepts and designs. • The once computer free agency was soon transformed into a full service digital art studio based on my recommendations, including copiers networked to all work stations & staff additions with referals of talent I knew.
