My home page acts as a blog list. Any new visitor will see a couple of options to read, and they will always be accompanied with strong visuals. It was important always keep the page fresh, so using the first page as an playground for my thoughts allowed me to update it more frequently, than with projects.

Simple transition effects were used to add personality to the navigation bar. Hover effects allow a user to understand this certain string of words is particularly important, especially for such a minimal design for such a menu.

A javascript plugin called Galleria was used to display my photography. This plugin is great because it is extremely customizable and has tough configurations built in. It was a great way to start the mobile design of my site.

Often underutilized, highlight colour was set, for both the background and the text. I used the complementary colour to my orange, which was a bright and calm seafoamy green/blue.

A projects page holds all of the projects and work I can publicly show, and displays them in a list. Again, it was important to remain very visual here. When users may be looking for a new project to browse, they should also see a preview, a little tease, of the project.

Each project utilizes the full length of the page, and a uses scrolls through the pictures and reads what they will. Each project is explanatory with just the images, though.

Unable to bear the heavy responsibility of sharing the gruesome image that is my likeness, I prefer a quick bio for a contact page. I think putting my picture on a business card is silly, and it's silly on this site, too.

This is the mobile version of my site. I removed the white space that was ever present on the desktop version and decreased the size of the orange header. Hover transitions have degraded to simple ghosts where mobile users see where they tapped.
