Cranbrook Science Museum, House of Ice - Designed and developed for the Cranbrook Science Museum, the House of Ice consists of countless stainless steel rods woven into a basket like form. Holding it's shape are over 5000 hand applied welds. Pictured here in the spring, the House of Ice becomes a true house of ice in the frozen winter months thanks to numerous water nozzles creating a thick layer of ice which encapsulates it.
Plasma Wall - This plasma screen wall was a collaboration with a local interior designer for her personal residence. The plasma screen sits in a shallow steel box, which is hinged to rotate 180 degrees, making it possible to view the screen from two separate rooms. The textured architectural glass is held in place by a custom designed steel glazing system. The framework is steel, finished to match the hot rolled steel surfaces cladding a majority of the houses interior.
