Rover 75 Prototype Final Render - A final full resolution render of the Rover 75 'Prototype'. The previous model of a Rover 75 was deformed using FFD grids and Edit Poly modifiers to conform to the shape dictated by the original design sketch of Richard Wooley. I produced it both to experiment with deform tools in 3DS Max and to satisfy my own curiosity about the differences aesthetically between the concept and final product. Rendered in Vray

Rover 75 Prototype Sketches - The original Richard Wooley design sketches for the Rover 75. I've spent about an hour deforming my Rover 75 model in 3DS Max using FFD grids to create a model of what the Rover 75 would have looked like had it been made to look exactly like the initial dsign sketches. I wanted to play with deform methods and hopefully, will have a render readty version within a couple of solid days of altering this. I'm probably about half way there now.
Prototype 60% Progress - A 60% progress shot showing the modifier stack. A turbo smooth has been included to show a smoother result quickly. As Edit Poly is the level selected, the polygon count here doesn't take into account the Turbosmooth. The next image showing edged faces doesn't have any kind of smooth applied.
Prototype 60% Progress With Edged Faces - A view of the model with edged faces indicating a full car body polt count of 12,000, with much or this being taken up by pre turbo smoothed chrome strips and new turbo smoothed mirrors.
Rover 75 Prototype Mid-Stage Progress - I've spent about an hour deforming my Rover 75 model in 3DS Max using FFD grids to create a model of what the Rover 75 would have looked like had it been made to look exactly like the initial dsign sketches.
