Bank of Complex Society - Harvesting preserving the acorns from Oak trees grown in total isolation is used as a means of mapping the progression/demise of civilisation over 1000 years. The growing machine acts as a societal barometer, providing or withholding nutrients from the the environmentally isolated trees to affect their growth. Cultural events are initiated by key moments in the lifespan of the trees marking the passage of time and the growth of human complexity.
