Craft Based Design Project

Far removed from the marketplace, the craftsmen find it increasingly difficult to gauge and respond to the changing market demands.The project was carried out with the aim of bridging this gulf and help the crafts be commercially viable. It demanded product intervetion within the constraints of the respective crafts. The prototypes were exhibited at 'Dilli Haat - Nature Bazaar'.
Precious Jewelry Design Collection

A real-life class room project, it involved the study of Carbon's brand image, it's target market & competitors and the present trends. Based on this study and as per the design brief, a range of finger rings was developed and prototypes of the selected concepts were fabricated.
Leather Goods Design & Construction

Documentation of crafts prevailing in the villages of Chinhat & Bishnupur

Sponsored by the Development Commissioner (Handicraft), Government of India, it involved research and documentation of the crafts practiced in Lucknow and the villages of Bishnupur and Chinhat. It included interacting with the craftsmen and identifying the potentials of their craft from a commercial perspective. The document would eventually serve as a database for prospective buyers and thus help promote and revive the dying crafts.
