Chief Principal Designer
Having close to 20 years experience across various facets of design and design management on a global platform I have developed specific cognitive skills. Cognition has to do with the ways in which I think and acquire knowledge. I am by and large artistic and logical. I would like to think of myself as a highly creative individual, original, intuitive and perceptive. I am able to think visually; to envision a project from beginning to end. At the same time, I am able to solve complex problems, make judgments and decisions, and think logically and critically. Time management and organizational skills are also important, as I have worked on multiple projects simultaneously across different verticals of Retail, needless to say I have and still work strict deadlines within budgetary constraints!! Much of my work in design is done to help businesses improve their profit margins and work within budgetary and time constraints. I utilize branding concepts to create a visual identity in the form of Graphic Design or Visual Merchandising for a client or product. I have realized Sales and Marketing rely heavily on graphic design to influence customers to buy the products advertised. I would like to find myself designing, packaging, presenting, marketing and selling my own ideas and products to any company which does hire me in the future. Having good interpersonal skills, able to work with fellow designers, other professionals, vendors, managers and clients. Very good at delegating and managing designers / vendors and assistants and work as part of a team. I can boldly state that I have outstanding communication skills, able to communicate visually, verbally and in writing. I fully believe the mechanics of oral and written communication—grammar, punctuation and spelling—are as important as color, line and composition. In a nut-shell "A highly skilled, talented designer, outstanding communicator and knowledgeable, intelligent, business-savvy professional”. I was born and raised in Bangalore, India. Ever since I can remember I've been either drawing or messing around in coreldraw & photoshop. After graduating high school I decided to study Fine Arts as my passion to design.
I had a life changing experience working for a Retail Manufacturing company as a creative designer. The constant thrill of problem solving and the mechanics around design, being either product, graphic or visual merchandising immediately converted my hobby into a real passion and I decided to make Design my profession.
I've learned about the whole spectrum of design and design management. From print to motion to prototyping and combined it with the design knowledge I gained at the various portfolios held by me across verticals at the jobs I've held. It's been the best decision I've made and I can't wait to start helping other people with the knowledge I acquired.
I have worked extensively with Dalziel and Pow who are an integrated design consultancy firm in London to develop an entire look and feel of a Brand and its sub-brands and bespoke it to suit the Indian Retail conditions. It was a broad based exercise which included the look and feel of (corporate, brand, and retail structuring) this took several months to put in place this was jointly executed with Technopak Consultants.Please feel free to take a look at my resumé.

Conceptualized Signage and store fronts for MG’s brand of outlets across regions and overseas
Designed products for Retail design / Storefronts and Product Packaging / Swing tags & labels.
Designed graphic modules / product material / Packaging for launches / promos for MG and its SBU brands respectively.
Have developed a vendor based cell which is based in Dubai / Hong Kong and China respectively for the purpose of rapid prototyping and sampling of various designs / in store fixtures for each brand.
Identified vendors overseas and locally with a knowledge sharing database within MG to optimize designs within given budgets and timeframes.
Conceptualized new designs and work with new materials on trendy formats for events.
Liaison with vendors in India and overseas markets to create seamless business modules for mass production and ensuring proper implementation of the project from end to end.

Overseen the Communication Design Cell for Titans' Accessories and Licenses Brands i.e Tommy Hilfiger / Fastrack-Eyegear-Sunglasses / Caltrack Pedometers.

My Scope of Work here was to bring many kinds of internal communication alive - Corporate ID | Annual Reports | Internal Communication | Shipping Trade manuals and magazines | amending designs according to UASC marketing and design briefs, monitored projects by coordinating with outside agencies, art services, printers, etc. Interpreting the shipping business needs and developing concepts to suit their purpose within the GCC; presented and pitched my ideas and designs to the the various agencies on board from concept to pre press ideas.
