Underway Contracts Ltd (UC) is a Western Australian, Perth based company that primarily deals with small to medium sized projects, with the occasional large project, locally and worldwide.

Hanseatic Marine is a builder of custom aluminium vessels. We work hand in hand with the internationally renowned naval architect and designer, Espen Onio, and offer clients complete boat building services from the design sketches to complete construction.

As a designer/draftsperson it was my task to not only convert the lead designers ideas and sketches into working 3d models and workshop production drawings but to also refine and improve the current parametric modelling standards and drawing practices, which was essentially adopted from an engineering package (Pro E), to better suit super yacht interiors and bespoke furniture. I managed to achieve this and greatly reduced the design hours needed to take sketches right through to production process.

The drawing practices I put in place required me to train new and existing team members, playing a vital role in the process and procedures of the design office. This resulted in a better working relationship between the design office and production.

My position also included the responsibility of producing 3d renderings for the purpose of marketing and sales.
