Creating a form based on object in nature using mill fabrication

The individual elements within the form sit along an axis in which each piece can be rotated. This particular iteration shows the pieces at 15 degrees relative to one another. Constructed using CNC Mill Design developed in RHINO
Full Size (highres_width x highres_height)
The center of the whole form demonstrates the highest degree of curve at a larger scale. The proportion between pieces remains the same but the size, thickness and curve all increase relative to position. Constructed using CNC Mill Design developed in RHINO
Constructed piece by piece from a single block of aluminum. Each was prepped, cut, milled and finished before being placed along the rod. Constructed using CNC Mill Design developed in RHINO
