Design Runway was a fantastic class I took while studying at Art Center College of Design. We were tasked with developing a fashion piece from concept to reality where it would be showcased in a live runway show. I developed a ficticious line for Balenciaga and created two of the ten designs. A simple but unique-to-shoes closure was the common element across the collection, as were unique piecing, strong silhouettes and bold geometric forms. Janus, the bright yellow ankle boot, was very well received and I'm proud of the result. My model, Bethany Lauren Froelich, could make anything look good and she was fantastic to work with.
