Dewdrop
Dewdrop Light - Designed for the Becker Competition, the aim was to utilise moulded wood in a product. I took this as an aesthetic project and aimed to use wood in an alternate way within a lighting display. The finished product has a moulded "leaf" that flows into a water droplet shaped basket crafted from steam bent thin strips of wood. An LED array inside the droplet creates a diffuse light which turns into a mottled pattern that shines onto surfaces mimicking a forest canopy.
