Dyson Supersonic (V9 Motor)
Engineering team leader (later stage development) for the Dyson V9 Motor used in the Dyson Supersonic hairdryer.
The V9 Dyson Digital Motor is assembled autonomously and features a machined impeller that spins at 110,000rpm. Up to 8x faster than other motors. Measuring just 27mm in diameter its tiny size allows the hairdryer a revolutionary format. The motor is located in the handle, not the head, to greatly improve balance and ergonomics whilst freeing space for air multiplier technology.
