Project I had to work on for a client.
They had 2 factory modeled, but mostly for technical drawing generation, which implied many problems regarding the printability of the file.
In the end we decided to remodel the whole thing so we could be certain of each element thickness, and optimise the file for " easy mounting " as some parts had to be printed separately due do the final model's size.
Due to the originals file formats, the first ( small ) one was modeled in SW, the second ( the largest ) in 3ds max. I allowed me to compare both on relatively same modeling demands, even though the large model was much longer mostly because of the huge amount of details and the number of "pipes" which weren't always easy to distinguish on the original model.
