Multi-disciplined analyst and UI/UX designer with a passion for social psychology (instability, influence), the measurable effects and influence of social media, and human behavior as a science. Strong ability to absorb multiple areas of interest to provide overarching guidance and support to teams. Empathy is my domain. My life experiences have been anything but cookie cutter. It is what reaffirms our drive to use the tools given to us and ultimately blazed the way for who I am today. Some things simply cannot be taught in a classroom and these essentials have been crucial to my success. Currently out-of-state for work, but as I am contracted (with an end date), I am starting to feel out what may be available in the next year or two and open to connect with others in my field.

Fundology is a private investment technology start-up in the financial district of downtown Chicago. The web-based networking platform aimed to reinvent existing deal discovery and acquisition processes by streamlining relevant opportunities and creating an optimal atmosphere for investors/dealmakers to strengthen and effectively expand their network. Top 10 Chicago's Coolest Emerging Start-ups (2013).

    – Designed a business networking and deal engagement platform that simplified the discovery of relevant equity and debt opportunities, saving precious time and essentially removing the need for complex software training. Beyond archaic technology and above a sea of sales-minded solutions.

    – Surgically studied user behavior through A/B testing, heat mapping, social media analysis, clickstream analysis, eye tracking, and feedback sessions that impacted product campaigns and the overall evolution of the platform (i.e. Google Analytics, Optimizely, CrazyEgg, MailChimp, HootSuite, Facebook Insights).

    – Represented Fundology at investment and networking events in Chicago and Miami. Member of Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) and Alliance of Merger & Acquisition Advisors® (AM&AA).

“Oh, this is great. It’s like Facebook (I ask how so?). My daughter uses Facebook. She'd be able to pick it up and instantly know how to use it. Before, we had to train twelve people in my office in the hopes of one doing it right, and this essentially does the same thing… but smarter.” – Investor, user

  • User Experience Designer

Worked with Fortune 500 companies, seeded startups, and internal Cynergy sales/portfolio projects at nearly every stage of an application's creation cycle: concept, design, development, and delivery.

As a UI/UX designer at Cynergy, I served on the bleeding edge of technology and human empathy. My mission was to approach each project with the courage to continually design web/mobile interfaces in the best interest of the people using them to improve usability and the overall user experience.

Additionally, as an architect (designer/coder), I assisted teams by creating in-depth style guides, design asset libraries, and semi-functional, interactive prototypes to effectively communicate the desired end-state of our deliverable to technical leads and the client. This enabled the bridging of a traditional disconnect between designers and developers which allowed the product to stay true to the approved design concept and ultimately lead to higher levels of team cohesion.

Extensive usage of Coda, the Adobe Creative Suite CS5/CS6: Photoshop, InDesign, Flash Catalyst, Fireworks, Illustrator; and Microsoft Expression Blend, Microsoft Office Suite.

** Added role: Led the creative and structural layout process for project proposals in Adobe InDesign, producing 90+ proposals and RFP responses in collaboration with the President and sales team.
