Provide Computer Aided Design (CAD) support and expertise to Industrial Design and Design Model Shop. Develop credible CAD files that can be used for the development of design concepts, as well as final design intent to engineering and other process partners in an efficient manner. CAD expertise includes investigation and proficiencies in the areas of traditional and additive manufacturing.

Involved in all aspects of the product development process--from concept inception to product launch. Worked side-by-side with engineering, marketing and graphic design to choreograph all elements of the product experience. The design environment allowed for a wide variety of projects but with control over manufacturing.

Led product development projects driven by user insights with expert understanding of core ID skills from hand sketching, digital visualization, CAD, materials and manufacturing knowledge, and design sensibility. Collaborated with manufacturers in China to deliver products on time and at cost that were aligned to business expectations.

Aided the company in its transition from fluorescent to LED lighting, as well as expanded its in-house product development from OEM component manufacturing to fully assembled fixtures. Led several high-priority projects focusing on LED applications in both the commercial and residential sectors.

Participated in the full range of product development - from concept all the way to the final manufactured product. Created innovative design solutions; combining LED lighting technology with solar cells produced in-house by SMCA. Worked with well known appliance brands, such as Jenn-Air and Viking Range.

Interned at Torque Creative, the in-house design firm and marketing agency for TTI North America. Specialized in strategic brand communications for many of TTI’s internationally recognizable brands - including Ryobi, Ridgid, and Hoover.
