Paradise Hotel: The SDSU Theater Department's Fall Performance was titled "Paradise Hotel". A crazy, humorous play of seduction and deception that takes place in a seedy hotel during the turn of the century in France. I chose to focus on the idea of seduction by painting a seductive woman in art nouveau colors.
Thursday Night Thing: This poster is an advertisement for Thursday Night Thing, a poetry-reading event in Downtown San Diego. Using the lyrics of a Johnny Cash song, I arranged the type to reflect the meaning of the song.
SDSU Wind Symphony: The SDSU School of Music and Dance held a performance from their Wind Symphony Orchestra. It featured songs with a dark, voo-doo lore sound which I conveyed in the poster using an illustrative face with its eyes closed.
