Chromatic Saturation Study - The objective of this project was to blend two complimentary colors through the gray stage in 36 even steps.
Achromatic Saturation Study-- Red - The objective of this project was to blend from a pure hue to a 50% gray in nine equal steps.

Achromatic Saturation Study-- Yellow - The objective of this project was to blend from a pure hue to a 50% gray in nine equal steps.
Temperature Modification Study - The objective of this project was to create an even blend between four colors-- two warm and two cool.
Simultaneous Contrast - | The first study demonstrates that the same hue will appear darker or lighter depending on what ground it is upon. | The second study demonstrates the visual change in saturation that occurs with grounds of different saturations. | The third study changes the warmth of the figure color depending on the warmth of the ground color. | The fourth study uses two different figure colors and attempts a visual "sameness" by the manipulation of the ground colors. |
Optical Color Mix - The objective of this project was to select five colors, and using the principles laid out by Josef Albers, manipulate their appearance by organization. Observe that the first row appears orange-r, the second yellower, the third greener and the fourth purple-r. This is simply an optical effect.
Simultaneous Interaction of Implied Ordering Systems-- Black & White - The objective of this project was to create a visual appealing composition from three interacting ordering systems (e.g. the Fibonacci series).
