The "Nook Chaise," was designed in 2008, for a furniture studio with David Mocarski (DWR). My concept was to focus on the ritual of interpretive sitting, by creating a chaise that was designed in female proportions. Doing case studies on female proportions, the Nook Chaise is designed for a human that is 5'5", versus the industry standard of 6'. It also has nooks and crannies to store knick-knackeries, books, etcetera. With a sustainable design plan, using eco-foam, composite wood, vintage textile and material efficiency. Also featured in a photoshoot by Betsy Winchell, with Aria Cascaval (Parisian model, actress, musician) and actor Lukas Haas. Dimensions: 42" H x 52" L x 28" D
