These are USB powered flower shaped lights. They work with any standard USB power source.
Each flower took 4 hours to print at a layer height of 0.1 mm, 20% infill and a wall thickness of 0.8 mm. No support was needed - YAY!
After that I had do a bit of cleanup. Not too much :) I think the imperfections work well for organic shapes like this. From there I drilled holes and mounted the USB lights. Since they are printed in PLA (polylactic acid) the drill caused this bioplastic to soften and fill-in some of the void that was made. Sort of self healing and self gluing.
I made a gel version of ABS (Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) plastic and used that to wrap around the base of the flower where the lights join into the flower to give it a smooth transition. That was then reinforced with cyanoacrylate (fast-acting adhesive).
Measurements: length 31.8cm - diameter 6.35cm (length 12.5in - diameter 2.5in)
