illustration + online design + travel photography — Portugal
I'm a portuguese illustrator. I'm also web and visual-concepts designer. I'm currently venturing into animation with a special focus on social-human rights.
Although I'm not a professional photographer, I consider myself a professional observer. Mainly photos are from my wifi-nomad experience in South America, where I traveled by bus and worked at the same time.
My work has been featured in magazines such as WIRED, AdWEEK, Computer Arts, Digital Arts, Web Design Index book, Trendland and more.

Professional Profile
With a degree in New Technologies of Communication at Aveiro University, I also studied Journalism at the University of Salamanca, Spain, as an ERASMUS student.
After university I was awarded a Scholarship in a multimedia project at the Communication and Art Department of Aveiro University.
I taught Multimedia Design at the National University of East Timor during 2004, and I was the sole mentor for the magazine "Amostra", an online Gallery for young Portuguese creators. This project got a lot of media attention as it was a new mean of communication and sharing ideas between creators.
I have also worked in production events and in positions such as a production and marketing assistant between 2006 and 2011. I worked for two years in a portuguese magazine as editorial designer and in the creation of visual concepts for articles and other projects.
Along with Inês Santiago, I was the co-founder of SHORT creative team based in Lisbon. We worked with digital, short-movies and everything related with communication.
As web-designer I really focus on minimal and user-friendly layouts. I'm addicted to information/navegation architecture studies.
In 2012 I also decided I wanna be a professional observer. So I created the Maga On The Bus project to capture the world.
