Duties included Structural design for all bar components. Production of shop drawings from Architectural renderings. Vacuum forming and CNC machining of Corian components. 8-01 to 7-08 Exhibit Designer, The Exploratorium (Exhibit Services) San Francisco, CA Interactive Science Exhibit Design. Implement new original exhibit concepts. Redesign existing exhibits to meet client specifications. Continuing responsibility for fabrication and mentoring duties as listed below. Exhibit Technician II, The Exploratorium (Exhibit Services) (6-06 to 6-07) Independently designed and fabricated entire exhibits. Trained and mentored newly hired technicians. Exhibit Technician I, The Exploratorium (Exhibit Services) (8-04 to 6-06) Independently designed and fabricated entire exhibits, using advanced software tools (AutoCAD 3D, AutoDesk Inventor and File Maker Pro) and CNC Machine Tools. Daily setup and maintenance of CNC router table and CNC 3 axis mill. Electromechanical Technician II, The Exploratorium (Exhibit Services) (8-02 to 8-04) Designed and fabricated exhibits under guidance of Lead Designer. Lead technician on installation at client museums, including overseas locations. Improved shop layout and safety in CNC machine room, including installation of new equipment. Electromechanical Technician I, The Exploratorium (Exhibit Services) (8-01 to 8-02) Assembled and fabricated exhibit parts. Responsibilities included use of conventional and computer-controlled machine tools, computer-aided design; and installation and maintenance of exhibits at client museums.
