Love Is Blind

I chose to focus my final project in Shenkar College at the perceptive of a woman who suffers from an abussive relationship and adapts, subconsciously, strategies to cope with her difficult reality by mentally escaping from the situation.
Her mental and psychological escape is characterized by a reduction in the severity of the situation, denial of its danger, and repression and even oblivion of details. The woman actually embellishes the reality she lives in, in order to survive.

The project consists of a series of kaleidoscopic images, each comprised out of segments of photographs which constitutes fractions of reality.
The images represent different domestic situations, in which the woman is seen after the violence had taken place, and during her daily life.
The kaleidoscopic images distort the content and the meaning of the photograph and create an esthetic and pleasant image, which serves as metaphoric lens through which the woman views the situation and embellishes it.
