The Storybook Project: Island Monster Princess
I created a little monster who aspires to be princess of her island. I wanted to challenge the conventional Princess image but still make a character that was relatable to children. Mooki enjoys exploring new lands and cultures in a story of adventure that I wrote and illustrated. I researched architecture, animals, tropical cultures and plant life to develop the story art. I then designed toy concepts based on the story characters.
