In the course of a 3+ year project, the Landor Branded Environments team developed the “W” brandmark for the site, crafted the look and feel for the World Trade Center brand, and established the form language for all of the site-wide wayfinding and other site fixtures.
The architecture of the site is a mixture of world class designer buildings including work by Santiago Calatrava, BIG, KPF, and SOM. Our work was designed to integrate with this environment, both interior and exterior, existing throughout the site in harmony with the surroundings.
The wayfinding system is composed of over a dozen bent sheet metal elements that once installed will include wall mounted signs, hanging signs, free standing pylons, and interactive wayfinding kiosks.
