The main aim of this project was to give the blind community more control on how they live their lives, so they are not imprisoned by their disability. This product offers the user the opportunity of added confidence and freedom to go to new surroundings and experience new things, an aspect of ‘normal’ experience that can be lost through blindness. The product does not eradicate the guild dog or white cane but enhances the range travel and the blind person’s independence and autonomy.
