Yup . . This version is actually a styling rework of the original DiggyThing which was used in IVT - but the overall silhouette character and component layout is the same. . .with this version I just wanted to get the dig architecture a bit more angular than the original tube boom concept, which looked a bit too "girlie" in my opinion...

Chhhers Don - this one is as old as the hills now, but still kinda fun. The overall proportions are still working OK - but I reckon the surfaces need a bit more character and detailling.

Thanks guys - in all honesty I'm not terribly well "clued up" on Stateside truck design - I just modelled what felt about right. This one definitely deserves a few hours more to refine the details and drop in a custom interior. . . I'll put it on my to do list!

Thanks guys - this one is still a personal favourite of mine . . not a complex model by any means, but the overall stance still looks hot - I wish someone'd come up with a single seat commuter along these lines!

Alan - yes it's from the inside of a vehicle. Joe - this was a live job for a vehicle manufacturer . . I'd LOVE to do some work for the games industry at some point, though!

YEEEEAAAAHHH!!! Always loved this one as a sketch, translates beautifully into Alias. Brief tasteful glimpse of Detroit muscle through the hood only serves to sex it up even more. ACE mate!

Mike, Great interpretation of An early 50's Chevy truck in 3D! The front is simple yet very cool. I did a Photoshop illustration of a custom '55 Chevy truck. It's in my Coroflot portfolio.

Thanks, Yamell. The image was rendered entirely static and then post edited in Photoshop: Spin-blur on the wheels and a feathered edge zoom-blur on the background. (hope this helps in case anyone wants to replicate the effect in their own work)

Doing this kind of imaging work in Alias is a really refreshing change from my usual output.. this is more about conveying the emotion and atmosphere of a moment than any specific details. As such, the view angle is telling us nothing about the design, the lighting is shocking, and most of the details are blurred . . . . . . LOADS OF FUN!!!
