The spiral staircase was the recurring theme I used, because I wanted to incorporate the sense of returning over and over to the same basic points, but making a little progress each time.
The first calendar: building blocks. (The calendars didn't have to be remotely usable.)
The second calendar: walking through a spiral city on a hill.
The third calendar: climbing to the top of the tallest tower on the hill.
We also had to create a very specific kind of "life intention" in question format as part of the Sea Change Design Process as laid out by our professor, and then typeset it.

Sea Change Design Calendar

This was a project in my design capstone course in which we were asked to create a rather whimsical calendar expressing something about ourselves. We had to pick a "harmonic pattern" to base our designs around, and I picked the spiral.
