EMPLOYMENT 2015 – Present SENIOR DESIGNER Vibram – Five Fingers Designer/Developer 2013-2015 DESIGN ENGINEER (2 years) SAS Shoe Company (San Antonio, Texas) I concentrated on sole design and development for men's and women's footwear. I designed the master model, determined the grading perameters and engineered production molds. 2012 – (3 months) SENIOR DESIGNER Ariat International (Union City, CA) Ariat is the leading performance footwear and apparel brand for equestrian athlete Specializing in both Western and English footwear. I was offered a month to month contract to "jump-start" the efforts within the categories of Work and Outdoor. 2010-2011 SENIOR DESIGNER SPORTO/COLEMAN/EDDIE BAUER Eastman Group (New York, New York) Liaised with Eddie Bauer and Eastman management to acquire a licensing agreement with Eddie Bauer. My role consisted of designing Men's Eddie Bauer, Coleman and Sporto SP12 footwear product lines within the categories of Expedition, Trail, Casual, Rugged Outdoor, Sandals and Rain boots. 2007-2009 SENIOR DESIGNER, GLOBAL FOOTWEAR RANGE Pony International (San Diego, CA) Using my background in footwear design and development, I was hired at PONY to work with the V.P. of Design in the categories of Football, Baseball, Basketball, Vintage and Women’s Elan. The role required me to utilize my previous brand expertise to ensure accurate product sampling in a time-sensitive environment. As a Senior Designer, I managed my team and played an integral part in refining the design and development processes at PONY, many of which are still utilized in their current design platform. 2004-2007 SENIOR DESIGNER, GLOBAL FOOTWEAR RANGE Adidas Golf TaylorMade (Carlsbad, CA) I was hired at Adidas after a sketch/ideation interview with the Creative Director.?The position required that I design innovative concepts, set brand strategy with product management and work collaboratively with product development. I mentored two footwear junior designers to be creative and managed their effort to execute their assignments, maintain timelines and ensure concepts ran parallel to brand direction. Responsible for the product design of the Footwear/Accessory product categories; developed product category design strategies, created collateral print material, able to balance product innovation with product heritage, managed junior level designers. 2000-2004 JUNIOR DESIGNER, GLOBAL FOOTWEAR RANGE Designed skate/snow footwear for Men’s Women’s and Youth Skate and Snow for both domestic and international sales. .
