Ariat is the leading performance footwear and apparel brand for equestrian athletes specializing in both Western and English footwear.
I was offered a month to month contract to "jump-start" the efforts within the categories of Work and Outdoor.
2010-2011 EASTMAN GROUP (NY,NY)
SENIOR DESIGNER for SPORTO/COLEMAN/EDDIE BAUER
Designed Men's Eddie Bauer SP12 line including expedition, trail, casual, sandals and rain boots. Liaised with Eddie Bauer and Eastman management to acquire a licensing agreement with Eddie Bauer. In this role, I refined my design skills and learned to stay true to the essence of original sketches. I also learned about the importance of establishing and maintaining strong relationships and open communication with factories in product creation and development; an especially important task in maintaining the essence of the original sketch. As a liaison between factories and development teams, I established design standards to maintain effective communication among my contacts. In creating design standards, I was able to value the collaboration between both groups and served as an advocate of communication and compromise.
2007-2009 PONY INTERNATIONAL (San Diego, CA)
SENIOR DESIGNER, GLOBAL FOOTWEAR RANGE
Using my background in footwear design and development, I was hired at PONY to work with the V.P. of Design in the categories of Football, Baseball, Basketball, Vintage and Women’s Elan. The role required me to utilize my previous brand expertise to ensure accurate product sampling in a time-sensitive environment. As a Senior Designer, I managed my team and played an integral part in refining the design and development processes at PONY, many of which are still utilized in their current design platform.
2004-2007 ADIDAS (Carlsbad, CA)

I was hired at Adidas after a sketch/ideation interview with the Creative Director. The position required that I design innovative concepts, set brand strategy with product management and work collaboratively with product development. I mentored two footwear junior designers to be creative and managed their effort to execute their assignments, maintain timelines and ensure concepts ran parallel to brand direction.
Design Patents: POWERBAND Technology and 50/50 Construction, LOWPRO spike system.
Managed and mentored a team of 2 Junior Designers.
