Contest - 2012 - In this contest the idea was to design products useful for house for low-income families reusing standard wooden pallets. I designed a kitchen organizer named "PAL" (from pallet), using only a small part of one pallet. You can produce at least 6 units from one pallet. The "PAL" organizer has multiple applications: allows you to save, hang and order all kinds of objects in the kitchen, like kitchen tools, pots, pans and food. The design focuses on two pairs of related concepts: ease and economy of production, and functionality and adaptability. It is intended to solve the problem of storing in familie's homes, where they haven't enough space. That's why I proposed a functional and adaptable organizer, that can be attached to the wall making a "column" or a "row", using one or more modules and allowing to sort different objects. The productive strategy is based on economy of resources and time, in addition to ease of production.
