Cordial, pendant lamp
Cordial is a smart pendant lamp and a simple, effective design philosophy design by the italian designer Nicolò Barlera. A light source that uses solely the parts needed to be a hanging lamp creating a combination of minimalism, simplicity and elegance. Its constriction is a brilliant assembly of a power cord. Cordial is for those who believe in design harmony, for those who are convinced in LESS IS MORE. LESS is the material - a cord, a plug, a socket and a light bulb. MORE is the illusion of a sum that is greater than its parts. Cordial is a piece of handmade design made using, to create the lampshade, a wooden mould and about 9 meters of 3x0.75 white electric cord glued together. It is designed and developed by Nicolò Barlera member of the swedish design firm Kanter&Karlsson located in Göteborg and initial design with the collaboration of Lorenzo Antonioni.
