Odachi Concept Bike
I chose to take a conceptual approach to this product and focus heavily on aesthetics while simultaneously creating a unique and innovative folding process. This bike's form and function were inspired by the samurai sword. An Odachi blade is a long samurai sword that is worn on the wielder's back. Like the sword the Odachi Bike folds into itself and can be worn on the users back or pulled on the ground along side the user. The bike is made from bamboo fiberboard which is extremely strong and lightweight Although a chain and brakes are not rendered the bike works the same as a regular bike would but with a nongreasy rubber belt drive
