I am an able, adaptable and multidisciplinary product designer. I'm passionate about design, technology, human behaviour/interaction/experience, innovation process and enterprise. - Insights. Researching people, how and why they behave the way they do, identifying what their needs are, and what can be done to meet those needs, is at the core of my design process. - Creativity, Prototyping & Iteration. The ability to prototype 2D, 3D, physical and digital prototypes, all in their appropriate level of fidelity and speed, creates a platform to grow a project or idea. - Communication. At the heart of multidisciplinary product development is the sharing of ideas, opinions and skills. I often see that my role, on top of 'designer', is to understand the team dynamic, and be able to speak the language of different skill sets/levels of seniority. - Delivery, responsibility and pride. Depending on mentality, any project could become all-consuming. Planning and making decisions about what to focus on enables me to place my efforts where they add maximum value. - Growing the business, growing myself. I supervise student-placement designers, inspire my professional community with the collation and interpretation of relevant trends/news, read extensively on and around my discipline and industry, and frequently take courses to broaden my mind and skill set.
