Brief:
Design a range of IP65 lighting fixtures (finally, the lighting fixtures will pass IP67, and would be rated that way), to help AlverLamp to perform better on its market (Spain, and West of Europe). Find ways to save costs, and rationalize the manufacturing (to that end, the use of extrusion process for the body of the fixture was selected, rather than molding).
Strategic design choice:
Finding solutions to reduce installation time and improve easiness of installation, to improve sales (as labor costs are high in Europe for companies to equip commercial centers or parkings for example). Plus it would help AlverLamp to build up its reputation towards its B2B and B2C clients, as well as with the architecture community.
