My hobby is taking photographs, this is a small selection of some photography projects I've done for pleasure.
As an interior designer I'm interested in how people define the space they are in, I like to make connections between the user and the four walls which contain them. The black and white series, which I call extracts, aim to show the viewer where the walls may be by using perspective and people to define the limits of the space rather than showing the actual walls which have been removed from the shots.
The series from St Georges market in Belfast, makes visual connections between the people and the space they occupy, either through colour, mirroring techniques or other incongruous means. The link above shows a preview of the final book for this series. The joiners is a particular favourite of mine - each time I travel I use the iphone to snap hundreds of images which are destined to become a joiner - I really must find time to put them together!
