About

Hi, I’m Nancy. I’m an unabashed design addict currently studying my second design degree, Industrial Design, where I’ve found my design home. I have six years of design education behind me, and am extremely eager to begin working in the industry as a first step towards a career focused on global product design and innovation. I am a passionate, innovative and mature designer with excellent interpersonal and communication skills developed over 5 years full-time in the workforce. I am highly organised, motivated, able to meet deadlines and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.

'Metalab is a collaborative of metalsmiths and designers with a shared philosophy for embracing contemporary methodologies whilst practicing time-honoured techniques.' Involved in the design team, I worked on contemporary production ready jewellery for the Metalab gallery space as well as retail outlets such as COTA and MCA Store.

D3 Design - Student Intern - Product Designer
November 2011 – December 2011
6 week internship at a boutique product and packaging design agency. Contributing
to a range of real projects from start to finish. Tasks included concepting for a
wide range of design briefs, presentation sketches and computer renderings, 3D
modelling, technical drawings for prototyping and manufacturing; and collaborating at
briefing, brainstorming and review meetings both in-house and with clients.
