Assisted the Textile/Bedding/ Rug department for a short term assignment during the busy season. Assisted in areas including research and development, scanning and cleaning artwork, developing repeat patterns, developing artwork, color matching, working on spec sheets and tech packs, and provided organizational needs for the Rug and Textile Department.
Assisted in preparing visual presentations including displaying art and CAD art for Product Presentation.
2011 Ann Taylor Stores, Ann Inc. Color Manager/Colorist/ CAD Design
Assisted the print and pattern department during the Maternity Leave of the color Manager. Took on the role of the Color Manager in her absence. Supported and inspired the Trend Director on seasonal color development
and maintained the department’s color needs. Sourced all color development from local fabric stores and international Color services including DB, Noa, Italian Lab, Pantone, and Trend Union. Prepared color palettes In- House by creating the color template in Excel and preparing color chips for the designers. Thoroughly researched color theory and names that reflect the sophistication and elegance of the brand. Prepared and updated the department’s print charts with the most current print information including Mill information, qualities, department, thumbnails, and colorways. Maintained the departments quarterly budgets and distributed purchase order numbers to local and international print vendors. Reviewed yarn dye stike-offs and sample yardage for color,approvals, and for production. Provided visual organizational tools for the Print/Color department’s needs. Assisted in developing colorways for print development using Ned Graphics easy coloring.

Took on the role of Senior CAD Textile Designer during her leave of absence.
Assisted the Madewell brand by providing Textile CAD needs for the designers. Developed contemporary colorways with and without direction for floral prints, plaids, and stripes. Worked with vintage and purchased art to develop colorways and layouts for swim, Apparel, and accessories. Revised coloways and layouts on a daily basis under direction from the Art director. Developed a collection of rug designs to be put into production for Fall 2012. Provided detail on every aspect of the product including color, pile structures, marketing, labels, and catalog.
2010 Inch, Surface Designer/ Product Development Project

Created spec sheets for hard objects and textiles to be sent to factories. Prepared and cleaned prints for the engraving process. Executed light hand drawing/ sketching for print development. Conducted trend research for the home
to develop a greater understanding of the mass market. Assisted in developing products including shower hooks, tub mats,window curtains, Jacquards, shower curtains, embroideries, and engineered prints for the mass market. Developed art work at full scale using NedGraphics Design and Repeat Pro. Assisted in making presentations using NedGraphics Easy Map Pro. Pitched colorways using the pantone color system.
