Raised by a commercial photographer and film producer and surrounded by architects. Im inspired by the unique heritage, the individualistic innovation and the no nonsense engineering of everyday living.
Established reputation as a highly motivated and engaged design professional primarily in the retail industry. Team-oriented as well as a self directed and strategic-thinking employee. EXPERIENCE Senior Designer roost December 2008 – Present Product Design, trade show architecture, Graphic design, Packaging, Engineering, Catalog layout, Photography, Appearance models, Visual display, Visual merchandising and business. Graphic Designer LIBRA Ltd. October 2008 – June 2009 Designed marketing and soft goods graphics for an international manufacturer of China-Made goods, which are supplied to US clients such as Target, Kohl’s and many other recognized retail distributors in the US. Freelance Designer LOOM inc. August 2007 – September 2008 Developed and designed a new line of starting children’s furniture that embraces function and versatility using the highest quality fabrics and original prints. Designer, Pottery Barn- Hard Goods Williams-Sonoma, Inc. June 2006 – September 2008 Successfully managed and developed new ideas and profitable core products for the brand in the following categories; Home Renovation, Window Hardware, Bed&Bath, Fireplace, Games&Gift, Trim, Wall décor, and the Outdoor accessories department. Designer, Pottery Barn, Furniture & Lighting Dept. Williams-Sonoma, Inc. June 2006 – March 2007 Was recruited for the high profile Furniture and Lighting department at Pottery barn. Learned the ins and out of an extremely fast paced design environment. Projects ranged from generating production quality Vellum specs for lighting, concept sketching for occasional furniture and helped create the look and feel for the Fall & Holiday 07 presentations. Worked under very tight deadlines with high expectations. Learned the importance of presenting a clear “point-of-view”. Produced very creative and relevant projects with little direction.
