Graduated from college at the age of 12 with a double masters in Molecular Biology, specializing in the effects of phakopsora pachyrhizi on asian soybeans in non-indigenous continental U.S. + Northern Renaissance Art History, but opted out of scientific endeavors or antiquarian commentary in order to open up a light bulb manufacturing company (mostly halogen) in India at 19. Though after wearing lehenga cholis grew tediously uninspiring, seeing as I’d given up touring (classical pianist child prodigy) years before, sought out a PhD in neoclassical composition (particularly the ever popular silent symphonies for dogs) as well as opened up a culinary school for wayward vegan orphans. Pretty effin' dull. Huh. Okay. More like seasoned Creative Director (integrated art + copy), Crossword Puzzle Constructor, Writer, Illustrator, Paper Engineer, Music Supervisor, Event Producer, former Pro Classical Ballet Dancer, detail-oriented, independently-motivated, friendly freelance hybrid. Especially keen on branding assignments, those involving science, music, social justice, the arts or meaningful non-profit, long-term gigs which will keep me busy for several months or more, wordsmithian ops plus collaborative efforts with fellow Renaissance types who've never squealed, "You must have too much time on your hands!" ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Would also happily consider full-time staff ops (for the first time in 8 years!) in beautiful, outdoorsy, temperate locales near rivers, lakes or ocean waves, e.g. Portland, Maine or Portland, Oregon...where a couple hundred thousand smackers will nab one a permanent h-o-u-s-e (versus a temporary closet), with room for a tire swing and a sea o' sunflowers. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ In short, open to challenges of all varieties. Please say hello! : )

Company/Festival Moniker conceived in tandem with the Big Apple Circus in Damrosch Park at Lincoln Center. Original intent? An 8-16 event music-meets-the-circus-under-the-big-top extravaganza. The recession thwarted our most ambitious efforts, however Time Magazine deemed our premiere evening (DeVotchka, Angus & Julia Stone + circus performers) "one of the best" of 2010. Talent coordination, sponsorship corralling, general production, design, writing, research, IA and guerilla marketing efforts. You name it. I tasked it. (Stay tuned for future SIDESHOWS events.)
Having freelanced by choice (not battle axe!) since 2006 has allowed me to fortify my resumé in soul-satisfying ways. Highlights include art direction for an HBO comic short, hardback crossword puzzle construction, a 68-frame website for Robert Redford, catalogue minting for the largest American/ European graffiti exhibition since 1970, commercial music supervision, 3D paper toy engineering for Sports Illustrated/NFL Sunday Ticket plus CD-level (AD/CW) hybrid responsibilities at design firms, interactive agencies and trad ad shops in addition to independently commissioned fare.

My blackbook of developers, photographers, editors, directors, producers & talent bookers from which to pluck from for representative projects is also pleasantly robust.
HHMM is a French band which I 'discovered' (and spot co-managed) while living in Paris during the summer of 2007. Armed with a newly designed press kit + cover letters galore I was able to snare ttheir first prominent press from North American sources such as Time Out, Flavorpill and radio-tastemaker KEXP, in addition to arranging their first acclaimed mini tour on U.S. shores. Efforts also resulted in the booking of two national commercials. (Label: Sober & Gentle, France)
Thwarting strangers & their chewed #2s as a regular “Cruciverbalist”? Indeed. Though similar in difficulty to Wed/Thur NYT fare, these formerly weekly puzzles are peppered with mucho pop culture, mp3 references and local NYC lore + general irreverence as befit the pub's hipster audience. (Distribution = 105,000; No special software used)
*Note: Multiple national xword syndicates temporarily on hiatus due to time constraints. (Running a charity has become a secondary full-time job!)
Managed several junior Cingular teams, led client presentations, orchestrated video & photo shoots, wrote, art directed & designed experiences of all traditional and viral interactive varieties. (Clients: AOL, Cingular, Citibank, FedEx, HBO, Snickers)
Joyce King Thomas’ "Priceless" driven roost included extensive photo & commercial shoot coverage + a 9-month period where I wrote, art directed & designed as an efficient hybrid without a partner. (Clients: MasterCard, Nikon Digital, Rock the Vote, Uniball, Viagra)
My stint at this now defunct international advertising/design boutique involved oodles of product & action photo shoots + a myriad of alternate packaging, outdoor and guerilla projects with an emphasis on comprehensive branding. [Clients: Bacardi (Dominican Republic/ Spain/ USA), Bacardi Limón (Denmark/ Netherlands/ Portugal/ Spain), Coca-Cola, Excite, Macy’s East, Martini (France/ Italy/ Spain), Outdoor Life Network (Global Extremes: Mt. Everest/ International Skiing Federation/ Louis Vuitton Cup/ Tour de France), Partnership for a Drug-Free America, PFLAG, Vespa USA]
Co-taught Senior BFA Advertising Portfolio Class with DDB's Jack Mariucci.
Solo wrangled up to 155 high-energy short people (ages 3-12) per week within a variety of filled-beyond-capacity classes. 2-year accumulative roster? More than 800 memorized faces, personalities & names.
2-inch long false eyelashes, industrial strength hairspray, knotty knuckles, tour buses plus exponential pounds of jewel encrusted tulle. (Including skirmishes to Hawaii, Canada, France & the Kennedy Center.)
The correlations between Japanese golf, Sleeping Beauty and imperial puff pastries are astounding.
Catapulting down a 19th-Century raked stage towards an open orchestra pit mid-Balanchine leap. (Naturally.)
