Lecturer for Graphic Design program

Initially brought in as a temporary employee. Offered a full time position four months later. Duties included designing brochures, sales sheets, email blasts, catalogs, power point presentations, and trade show graphics. Many of the designed projects required dealing with print vendors. Other responsibilities included leading daily meetings with the Creative team and weekly meetings that included Regional Sales Associates.

Hired on to oversee the design and layout of a quarterly publication, California Coast Parent magazine, and to head Plus Graphic Design— graphics division of Ross Media Group. RESULTS: Brought a fresh approach to the layout of the magazine with emphasis on typography, graphic elements and original digital illustrations as well as an increase in original ad designs. Revitalized the graphics division with a much needed air in creativity in logo designs, print collateral, marketing pieces and web site development.

Joined Hana Group at the crossroads when the company made the decision to reinvent itself from a graphic production house to a full-on advertising agency. Developed a style in producing corporate identity, print collateral, ad design, catalogs and newsletters. Brainstormed many successful ad campaigns for clients. Helped launch a quarterly publication, Arts & Living California magazine, as Art Director, when a publishing division was added to the company. RESULTS: Successfully helped to break through and create an agency— maintaining a level of creativity and originality in print, web, and on-air production.
Frequently did light copy writing and editing as well as original digital and non-digital illustrations. Supervised staff and interacted with clientele. Provided job estimates, print bids and followed projects through to completion.
