Draxin Technologies Pty, Ltd. required the rapid design and development for a new technology developed for testing the integrity of overhead rock in mining situations. The signalman is worn either around the miners neck on a lanyard, attached to clothing or an elasticised wristband, an electronic 'ping' bounces off the rock, is then received by the signalman and inbuilt recognition software analyses the data - signalling the operator who then reacts accordingly.
