Design Week 2012

A Group assignment combining first and second year students. The challenge is set to create a product for an external business in the space of one week (5 days). The business that we were to work with was Omlet. Brief: to design a toy for a hamster or small rodent pet. The product must be in-keeping with the company's product range and design ethos. Our solution: The Ediball, a polycarbonate, studded play ball to provide food, exercise and mental stimulation. Each node is made of a separate, pet safe material be it food, mineral stone of wood to name just a few of the options available. Of seven teams competing we took first place! Contributing designers include Myself (Computer aided Sketch work), Marcus Payne (Presentation and display), Jack Wilkins (Hand Sketch and CAD work), Ed Boulton and Levi Evans (CAD).
