Freelance Illustrator

I have been drawing for thirty years and in Photoshop for ten. I am a graduate of the North Wales School of Art and have been wrking freelance since graduating in 2008. I am a general illustrator and relish the challenge of diverse professional briefs.

Resume

I am an illustrator working predominantly digitaly using Adobe Photoshop although I do/can also use traditional media at some stages in my work process. I have undertaken logo design, colouration and general illustration work.

I bring solid traditional drawing skills to digital software to create stunning and original contemporary images.

I believe in, and am committed to, communicating thoroughly and fully with a client in order to accurately, succesfully and professionally meet their design and illustration needs.

Work Completed:

Digital colouration for two graphic novels by Simon Greaves of the Shakespeare plays "Romeo & Juliet" (2010) and "A Midsummer Nights Dream" (2009) for the Shakespeare Comic Book Company.

Four greetings card designs (adolescent male) sold to Clintons Cards via the Art Angels agency.

I have two illustrations in a forthcoming publication by SPICA publishing.

I developed logo designs for three north Shropshire companies.

As a student (2006-2008) I won the Randolph Caldecott Society's student award and also the competion brief to design Glyndwr University's 2007 official Christmas card.

In 2009 I had an image selected and included in the Association of Illustrators annual Images32.

Martin Dawber selected an image of mine for inusion in his 2009 book "The Big Book of Contemporary Illustration."

I have designed, painted and installed a 16m interactive mural in a preschool playgroup's playground for Homestart in Oswestry.

I design and build giant (6-15m tall) puppets for the Welshampton Festival of Fire.

I organise the annual Hit&Run Art Show in Ellesmere, north Shropshire.
