I am an award winning industrial designer with 12 years of industry experience. My design philosophy is simple… develop legitimate consumer & market based insights to then leverage relevant yet unique and distinctive design solutions. I then immerse myself in the entire development process, to ensure the design intent is maintained. I believe I am unique in the field on industrial design, as I have exceptional front-end design skills, i.e. insights development, concept ideation and aesthetic development coupled with a very strong understanding of mechanical engineering, production & manufacturing processes, materials, and immense experience working closely with Chinese manufactures. I feel I would be a great asset to any team looking for a well-rounded, forward thinking designer, who can handle any and all stages of a project

Design Consultant, Product, with Philips Design
My capacity as design consultant for Click Clack see’s me carrying on my previous role with the company as Principal Designer.
My key responsibilities involve leading the design and design strategy development for two major house wares brands that fall under the Click Clack umbrella.
As senior designer I am responsible for the design and development of innovative small kitchen appliances. I am the lead designer along every stage of a project, from concept, to first production run.
My role as principal designer was to ultimately use insights and design to navigate two major house wares brands into new territories.
I have achieved this by utilizing consumer based research and insights, through which I then developed two unique and succinct brand-specific design languages.
At this point I worked closely with product engineers, and production engineers, to take these new product ideas, and develop a range of unique high quality products.
I initial started working for Sunbeam Australia as a junior industrial designer, working with lead designers, and learning the ins and outs of in-house product development.
My project lineage quickly accelerated as I started to prove myself as a passionate, fast learning and forward thinking designer.
Within 6 months of working within the design team, I was given key flagship products to style, develop and ultimately take through to production.
The time I spent at Sunbeam was rich with experiences that have carved out the designer I am proud to be today.
Be it travelling to china to inspect manufacturing and assembly, organizing and running “concept development” workshops, or presenting entire category design directions to the board of directors, Sunbeam was an amazing, and inspiring
As a junior designer, I was “thrown into the deep end” across the entire design and product development process.
This role was taught me key elements of design, project and time management, and client relations that simply can not be taught at University.
