I have had many opportunities to design a wide variety of innovative products, and that experience has helped me become the designer I am today. I am always striving to expand my skills and knowledge, because I feel that an individual should never stop learning.

Canopy is the innovative technology company that is developing 'Sensus', an app enhancing smart phone case. As the senior level industrial designer, some of my responsibilities are: designing innovative new products while keeping manufacturing, materials, cost and the end user, in mind. All aspects of the design are taken into consideration, aesthetics, ergonomics, user interface, internal electronics, functionality, manufacturability, and so on. I am also required to travel domestically and internationally to work with our manufacturers. On a daily basis, I am working closely with our electrical engineers, and software engineers.

For years Regalo, has been an industry leader in bed rails, safety gates, portable toddler beds, booster seats and chairs. They are known for providing high quality, durable products, at an exceptional value. As Lead Industrial Design/Design Engineer, I was in charge of any and all product design and development for the company. I develop new product concepts and see them through to the retail market. While constantly communicating with my Chinese manufacturing team, I must also stay up to date an all juvenile safety standards (CPSC/ASTM) that relate to our products. I am required to oversee all product testing for these standards and must make sure that our products are designed and manufactured to exceed the current standards at all times. Travel to China is required at least twice a year to oversee product manufacturing and quality control.

Carlson is a leader in gate and crate production in the pet industry. I was in charge of all product design and development for the company(new and redesign). During product development and production, I am in constant contact with our Chinese manufacturing team.
