Visual Artist / painter - illustrator
Pooneh Oshidari was born in 1984 Tehran. She earned her B.F.A. degree in Graphic design 2009 and two years later she graduated with an M.F.A. in Illustration from Tehran University's School of Fine Arts. She is the Member of Society of Iranian Painters from 2010. Her professional career began in 2007 by participating in Iran's 7th Painting Biennial and holding her first solo exhibition at Honar Gallery in Tehran. During 8 years, her works were exhibited in solo exhibitions at Iran Artists Forum (2008)/ Seyhoun Gallery (2009)/ Atbin Gallery (2010 – 2011)/ and she also hold 2 solo exhibitions at Abra Gallery (2013-Los Angeles) and FA Gallery (2014-Kuwait). She participated in more than 50 group exhibitions. Some selected group shows include: ART ANKARA (contemporary Art fair-2015), World Champion (Shirin gallery 2014), LA ART Show (Los Angeles 2013- 2015), Iranian Culture (Tallybeck Contemporarery Gallery - New York-2014), History Game (Etemad Gallery 2014), Abra Gallery (Los Angeles-2012-2013), Rybon International Workshop (Mohsen Gallery 2012), Iranian woman artists exhibition (Brussels, Athen, Warsaw – 2012), Elaheh Galley (2011-2012-2013), My City (Arts Décoratifs University-Paris-2012), Aria Gallery, The World Viewed (Igreg Gallery), Iranian Love Stories (Mehrva Gallery In 2013 her work was accepted to be shown at Tehran's Illustration Biennial and she also has worked on several books – from poetry to children's books as an illustrator.
