The Kabir Festival VISUAL LANGUAGE - The Kabir Project was my first project working with identity and exhibition design in my third year at Srishti. The main aim of the project was to create an overall look for the event. The absence of a specific brand and logo was in keeping with Kabirian philosophies. The project was a coming together of identity, publicity and space. Immersion in the backdrop and philosophies was the precursor to the process and drove the design. Content management was a key aspect through the process.
The Kabir Festival SPACE - The visual language for the Kabir Festival in Bangalore (February 2009) was developed keeping in mind a key element in the spatial design of the festival - the colourful flags (patakas).
The Kabir Festival POSTERS & PASSES - These posters were done for the initial publicity of The Kabir Festival held in Bangalore in February 2009. The passes were for entry into the concerts of the festival. This was done in collaboration with two other visual communication students. We had an equal share in ideating and execution for the work produced.
The Kabir Festival PRESS AD - This Press Advertisement was published in the Hindu in the final stage of publicity of The Kabir Festival held in Bangalore in February 2009.
Saaram LOGO IDEATION - Saaram is a Franco-Indian concept which allows tourists to discover the diversity of Indian Arts and Culture, especially in Kerala through theme travel and discovery workshops. The initial logo iterations were done during my internship in 2009 with Ninan Joseph Designs. The project was a useful insight into the broader domain of identity construction as well details in terms of branding and logo construction. It also focused on the underlying process necessary to create a logo.
Saaram LOGO TRYOUTS - Saaram is a Franco-Indian concept which allows tourists to discover the diversity of Indian Arts and Culture, especially in Kerala through theme travel and discovery workshops. The initial logo iterations were done during my internship in 2009 with Ninan Joseph Designs. I used the Lotus as a form and worked on the different motifs that could be created through the form.
