Our studios are a mix of User Experience (UX) Designers, Interaction Designers, Visual Designers, Motion Designers, Creative Directors and Product “Thinker” & “Maker” Designers. Our designers come from all over the world and from a spectrum of careers. There are architects, fine artists, industrial designers, computer scientists, musicians, writers. There are industry veterans at the peak of their capabilities. People mid-career trying something new. Excited students just at the start of their professional lives. There are the big thinkers, the skilled craftsmen, the visual experts, the interaction specialists—and many who have their own unique blend of talents and perspectives.

We are looking to hire all levels of Visual, Interaction, Motion, Creative Directors and Product “Maker” Designers in our locations including Redmond, San Francisco, Palo Alto, New York, London, Berlin and Paris!

  • Visual Designer – All levels Redmond, WA

As a Visual Designer - you are an artist! A conceptual artist at that. You get excited by the pantone color system and are the one that friends tease because you’re critiquing the typography on restaurant menus. You will be responsible for helping articulate and deliver new visual and motion language across a variety of form factors and thus must be able to communicate your ideas using a wide variety of methods-from sketches to fully rendered designs. You have a portfolio demonstrating strong skills in either visual composition, interface designs, typography, screen layouts for software, application, web, color, animation, motion, illustration and/or art!

In our Microsoft Design studios, you’ll have access to some of the best resources and people in the industry to help you grow your career. You’ll have the opportunity to explore new ideas, tackle hard challenges, and design products that reach millions of people every day. We believe in supporting each person’s unique superpowers while building a diversity of perspectives. This is the heart of our world-class design community.

  • Augmented Reality Designer – All levels Redmond, WA

As an Augmented Reality Designer - you are designing new and innovative experiences. People-not devices-are at the center of everything we do. Our tech moves beyond screens and pixels, creating a new reality aimed at bringing us closer together-whether that’s scientists ‘meeting’ on the surface of a virtual Mars or some yet undreamt-of possibility. To get there, we are incorporating diverse groundbreaking technologies, from the revolutionary Holographic Processing Unit to computer vision, machine learning, human-computer interaction, and more. With your help, we’ll bring holograms of dynamic people and performances to augmented reality, virtual reality, and even 2D screens. As a Designer, you will drive the aesthetic quality of our hologram experience. You’ll demonstrate their real-world value across a wide range of scenarios and partner with clients to achieve their vision among the promise and practicalities of cutting-edge technology. Augmented Reality collides traditional design, motion and 3D and allows the designer to create incredible immersive experiences.

You like to collaborate with your peer designers, user researchers, product managers, developers, and data analysts. You have shipped stuff (lots of it…with most of it brand new to market and spanning multiple platforms & technologies), and you’re the guy/gal that is always making stuff!
