So you want your portfolio to be featured...

Featured portfolios on Coroflot are chosen based on excellence in quality, quantity, and range of work, innovation and original concepts, and graphic presentation. Every week or so, more of our new favorite portfolios are added to the Featured Portfolios list. Check out these tips on making the list:

1. If your work is great, make sure your thumbnails look just as good, since they will be the first thing we see.
2. Only choose projects that reflect and represent your very best skill and talent. Post a variety of projects. This is a strong tool in showing that your skills are adaptive.
3. Create clean, attractive layouts that compliment your projects so they look compelling, especially on the web. Excellent work usually speaks for itself, however simple adjustments such as cropping, tiling, and borders, if done correctly, can make all the difference. If you are not proficient in graphic design and presentation, ask a friend to help you out.
4. Make sure you update your portfolio with new work as it becomes available. Well-rounded and recently updated portfolios have a much greater chance of appearing in up-to-date searches than portfolios that haven't been touched in ages.
5. Use the text fields to thoroughly describe your projects. Without a description, viewers (and us here at Coroflot) have absolutely no idea where you're coming from or what makes your projects so awesome.
