Very Important Posters - Created and hand printed by Jen Mussari, Very Important Posters is a series of eight screen printed fine art posters that employ hand-drawn typography and minimal illustration to communicate varied messages. These messages range from critical, to welcoming, to comical, to concerned. Throughout this series I play with the relationship between word and illustration and the interaction of the formal shapes of both. I’m constantly trying to find and alter the line between letterform and drawing. At what point does a glyph become a drawing? And a drawing a glyph?
