The Vitals Monitoring system was designed with forward thinking technology in 2007. These watch-like devices featured e-ink displays, embedded sensors for measuring information like skin temperature and pulse. This was about 8 years before the first smart watch would appear on the market, and was completed right as the Fitbit first appeared publicly.
